Plan with fewer unknowns
Frequently asked questions.
These answers explain the inquiry process without promising availability, pricing, or menu details that require David’s review.
What kinds of events are a good fit?
Private dinners, celebrations, vacation stays, and small hosted gatherings are all good places to begin. Share the details in the quote form and David can confirm whether the event is a fit.
Are menus customizable?
The menu conversation starts with your occasion, preferences, guest mix, dietary needs, and the kitchen available at the location. Sample menus are starting points, not fixed packages.
Do you accommodate allergies?
Please describe every allergy and dietary restriction in the quote request. David will discuss what can be accommodated, but no kitchen can promise a completely allergen-free environment.
How far in advance should I inquire?
As early as you can. Availability is confirmed directly by David, and submitting a request does not reserve a date.
Where do you cook?
The service is designed around private homes and suitable vacation-rental or event kitchens. Kitchen access and equipment are reviewed during planning.
How many guests can David’s Kitchen serve?
The service is generally designed for gatherings of up to approximately 30 guests. David reviews the property, service style, staffing, and event needs before confirming fit.
What is included?
A proposal may include menu planning, groceries, cooking, service, servers when needed, and cleanup of David’s working area and equipment. The host remains responsible for household trash, guest dinnerware, and unrelated cleanup unless the written plan says otherwise.
Do you travel?
David’s Kitchen is based in Ledyard and welcomes inquiries across southeastern Connecticut and coastal Rhode Island. Travel beyond 30 miles may require an added travel charge or event minimum.
Do you supply alcohol?
David can provide wine-pairing guidance, but David’s Kitchen does not supply alcohol.
Is pricing listed online?
Every request has different menu, staffing, guest-count, travel, and service needs. David provides pricing only after reviewing the event details.
What happens after I submit a quote request?
You receive a reference number and David receives the request. He follows up using your preferred contact method to discuss fit and next steps.
Can I text about my event?
Yes. Texting is optional and only begins when you explicitly consent in the quote form. You can reply STOP at any time.
